Description

Guillaume De L'Isle's map of Moscovy, when issued, by far the most sophisticated map of Russia and the Ukraine yet published, and the model for the region for the next century. Centred on Moscow, it extends from the Barents and White Seas south to the Sea of Azov, and from Poland and Lithuania east to Astrakhan and the Volga. Issued in two sheets.
