Hand-coloured copper engraving. Plate approx. 48.5 × 57 cm; frame approx. 65 × 74.5 cm. California shown as an island on the second Sanson model; rich allegorical cartouche. McLaughlin 175.

Condition

The map appears attractive, with bright colour, a normal centre fold and only light age marks. The closed frame remains a condition risk until the verso can be checked.
